The results obtained from laboratory, lath-house and field experiments carried out on Effect of Hydro and Osmo Priming on Seed Quality and Yield of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) were promising and can bring about some change in live of misfortunate farmers. Seed priming is very essential and sound technology to increase the productivity of post rainy annual crops like chickpea. Hence, it reasonable to suggest seed priming to improve the livelihood of resource poor farmers during the season when there is no or little rainfall.It is hoped that, in this book, seed laboratory and lath-house parameters testing procedures and field parameters data collection procedures on chickpea have been included. The subject matter covered in this book, is thus, enough to fulfill the need of undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, Teachers, Training personnel, laboratory and field workers.

Mr. Abebe Sori received his B.Sc (Ag) and M.Sc (Ag) degrees in 2005 and 2011 respectively, from Haramaya University (Governmental University, Haramaya). He started his career by serving Oromia Agricultural Research Institutes (OARI) as a junior researcher in soil science from 2006-2009 at Bedele soil Research Laboratory center.
