Electroorganic Synthesis and its Applications

The electrochemical technique is one of the simplest and most direct methods for carrying out oxidation or reduction reactions because the addition or removal of electrons can be achieved without attendant complications involved in the addition of redox reagents to a system. Almost all types of organic reactions are possible by the electrochemical method and the product of electrolysis is also pure. In the present study an attempt has been made to synthesize newer electroactive compounds by electrochemical method for different applications such as corrosion inhibition, surface modification and electrodeposition.

Dr. H.P. SACHIN, presently working as Assistant Professor in the Dept.of Chemistry, JNN College of Engg, Shivamogga, India. He did his Ph.D. from Kuvempu University and done his PDF studies at IISc., Bangalore. He has 12 years of teaching experience and published 19 research papers in various journals. Corrosion Inhibition is a field of interest.
