EMERGING CHALLENGES IN FOOD SAFETY IN SOUTHERN NIGERIA

This book x-rays the food safety condition of raw and ready-to-eat (RTE) beef, fish, and poultry in a major city in southern Nigeria with the view to compare it with standard microbiological benchmarks available worldwide. It also focuses on the microbiological quality of some abattoirs. In addition antibiotics sensitivity profile was determined for organisms detected. Recommendations for improvement to reduce microbial load especially on RTE food are also outlined.
Autorentext
Etinosa Ogbebor is a dynamic upcoming scientist. He has a Master's degree in Food and Industrial Microbiology from the University of Benin, and a B.Sc degree in Microbiology from Benson Idahosa University both in Nigeria. He is a member of some professional bodies and is currently carrying out research for his doctoral degree.
