Forces and consequences of urbanization has taken their full toll on the human race. Their onslaught is evident in the colossal loss of lives and properties on global, continental and national scales. Unfortunately, the symptomatic approaches of their understanding and mitigation efforts has constantly revealed the weakness and failure of such approaches. This book presents a diagnostic approach to the environmental phenomena of disasters, hazards and pollution as unparallel distillate.Suitable mathematical model was used as the diagnostic tool on building collapse as a case study which led to sustainable strategies towards mitigation.
