Epidemiological studies are able to combine different sciences such as public health, social, geography and medicine to gain better knowledge of a situation. Hence it is a useful branch of sciences which integrate art and science to answer complicated questions. This special feature of epidemiology will be of benefit to societies that are facing difficult situations, such as natural disasters. However the accuracy of the results of epidemiological studies depends on the accuracy of data are used. Therefore it is necessary to have an efficient data collection system as an important infrastructure of pre-disaster preparedness. This book should be particularly useful for Students in epidemiology, management and health informatics.
