This book is organized into three chapters. Chapter one comprises a general introduction that provides review and evidences of food insecurity and nutritional outcome in Bangladesh. Chapter two represents an experience based case study on whether questionnaire-based measure from non staple foods is valid for the measurement of households with food insecurity. Chapter three represent a case study on non cereal food consumption and nutrition outcome in children and mothers (measured from the frequency of non staple food consumption). This book is designed for using in the courses that focus on food insecurity and nutritional outcome measurement in children and mothers. The targeted group of this book is B.Sc and M.Sc student as well as researcher in the field of food science, nutrition, health science, human geography, anthropology, public health, social science and other allied fields.

Ir. GM. Rabiul Islam is currently working as a faculty member, Department of Food Engineering and Tea Technology, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Mr. Islam awarded VLIR-UOS scholarships from Belgian Directorate-General for development co-operation during his M.Sc study.
