Details

The global community provides support to different development programs in developing countries. However, development is unthinkable without first combating corruption, because it has negative impacts on economic, political and social systems of a country. It also hinders good governance, democratization process, implementation of poverty reduction programs and the development of good morality in the society. Glocalization of anticorruption agreements and policies can be analyzed from both globalization and localization perspectives. To achieve this goal, researchers and policy makers need to focus on what they can do rather than dreaming what they want in order to solve culturally and traditionally embedded cankers such as corruption. This book provides detail research analysis of how to use both local and global values and policies together in order to solve practical problems of local community. The book is also an invitation to those who are interested to know basic concepts of glocalization, cultural values of the Sidama society, the impacts of corruption on development, and effective strategies of combating corruption.
