Hand in hand with books

The main purpose of this book is to reflect on the role of children's literature in the development of reading skills and literary education. This study is based on action research methodology, invoking the cycle of planning, action, reflection, and evaluation of the action taken. Throughout this action research process, the development of professional skills was one of the central objectives. Several studies have already presented and defended the importance of children's literature in the development of literary education in students.

Cátia Silva has a master's degree in Preschool and Primary Education from the University of Minho, Portugal. She has a degree in Primary Education from the same university. She is currently a primary school teacher.
