HASHTAG SPELLING: Improving Spelling Skills of Grade Six Pupils

This action research specifically aims to identify the factors that affect spelling abilities of pupils and to provide effective spelling instructions that will foster continuous learning through HASHTAG SPELLING: Improving Spelling Skills of Grade Six Pupils. HASHTAG stands for H-home reading report, A- application of Project USE, S-songs, stories, poems and rhymes,H-horn method, T-tutoring and buddy system, A for Achievers' board, G-games. SPELLING means Support Pupils' English Learning Language In the New Generation. This innovation brings light to the darkening side of pupils' spelling abilities in this generation where technology imposes threats to pupils' learning correct spelling.

Shyne Ancelin Mendoza-Lugagay obtained her Master's Degree in Educational Management in La Salle University-Ozamiz City, Philippines in 2010. She worked as a public school teacher handling grade six class since 2009. Currently she's working on research and innovations to help improve teaching and learning instructions.
