The book covers the principle for understanding the fundamental nature and properties of engineering materials and properties of coating materials used in low alloy steels.It brings out the significance of these properties in engineering applications. The aim of this book is to develop interest in the readers through appreciation of a wide spectrum of materials and make him capable of choosing the most feasible high temperature oxidation resistant coatings for various applications. This book is useful for industrial application, researchers and egineering students. The authors have endeavored to familiarize the readers with the high temperature oxidation protection of various components made of low carbon steels, low alloy steels and high alloy steels by using oxidation resistant coatings.
