Imidazoline surfactants derived from diethylenetriamine & fatty acids
Details
The conventional thermal methods used for synthesis of imidazolines suffer from many disadvantages such as long reaction times, low yield of products and tedious work up. To overcome the above disadvantages microwave assisted synthesis of imidazolines is, therefore gaining momentum as an alternative method to conventional methods. The aim of the book is to provide latest information about microwave synthesis and characterization of diethylene triamine based imidazoline surfactants derived from renewable fatty feed stocks. The surface active and performance properties of various imidazoline surfactants have been studied. Besides this, laundry applications of these surfactants in combination with suitable non-ionic surfactants have also been stressed. Furthermore, development of cost - effective imidazoline surfactants has also been explored.
