This collection is the 9th issue of the series "Issues of Ethnogenesis and Ethnic History of the Peoples of Central Asia". The collection consists of 8 parts. The 1st part "Turkic-speaking peoples" contains two articles by Y.V.Pylypchuk: "Ethnic structure of the chiefdoms of the Lukomor Kipchaks" and "Totems of the Kipchaks". 2- part "Iranian-speaking peoples" contains an article by Sh.S.Kamoliddin "To the question of the origin of the ethnonym Tajik. Part 9". The 3rd part "Ethnic contacts" contains an article by G.B.Babayarov "On the ethnic proximity of the Eftalites and Karluk" and an article by Y.V.Pylypchuk "Slavs in Desht-i Kypchak". The 4th part "Toponymy" contains an article by Sh.S.Kamoliddin "Once again about the ethnonym Uzbek and the toponym Uzbekistan". The 5th part "Discussions" contains an article by Y.V.Pylypchuk "Who were Di and Zhuns?". The 6th part of the "Review" contains Sh.S.Kamoliddin's commentary to the book by H. He is engaged in the study of Arab, Persian and Turkic sources on medieval history and historical geography of Central Asia of the epoch of the Turkic Kaganate (c. VI - c. VIII centuries) and the Arab Caliphate (c. VIII - early XIII centuries).
