Land Conflict in Minangkabau Communities

The Minangkabau area was blessed with so much natural wealth that agriculture became a mainstay sector in West Sumatra. But the natural wealth of the Minangkabau, which was supposed to be a blessing, became a curse. In a number of areas rich in mines and plantations in West Sumatra, it is even prone to conflicts between communities and entrepreneurs. The seeds of conflict are like fire in husks if the root of the problem is not resolved. Also conflicts that occur at the level of traditional community levels are tribes and nagari. This book describes several factors that caused land conflicts in the Minangkabau community. These factors are social cultural factors, local government policies and population mentality. The analysis in this book helps the Government, Community Leaders, Sociologists, Entrepreneurs, Academics or anyone else to understand the reality that occurs in society for the consideration of appropriate policy making.

Syatri Basri, SE, M.Pd: Bester Absolvent des Postgraduiertenstudiengangs für Sozialkunde an der Staatlichen Universität Padang im Juni 2018. Er war ein nationaler Finalist bei der Nationalen Lehrerolympiade (OGN) in Sozialkunde 2019.
