Details

If organisations are to remain competitive, they
need to ensure that what is learnt in the classroom
is able to be adapted and used in the workplace by
their employees. Even more nowadays, in our dynamic
world, where an increasing growth of knowledge and
technological advances are inevitable, life-long
learning has become a necessity and transfer of
learning an essential requisite for individuals and
companies. The book provides both a comprehensive
theoretical framework on learning transfer and the
results of a conducted survey. The presented study
evaluates an international executive seminar at a
multinational firm and concludes that the evaluation
has produced some meaningful and interesting
findings regarding learning transfer. In addition,
the reader finds useful recommendations on how to
maximize the transfer success throughout the
training process. The book will be a useful source
not only for trainers but also for HR decision
makers to acknowledge the need to promote education
programmes that have an impact and are valued for
their return-on-investment approach.
