Lisa Eva Nandy (born 9 August 1979) is a British Labour Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Wigan in Greater Manchester, since the 2010 general election and is one of six Asian female MPs in the country. Nandy was born in Manchester, Lancashire and grew up there and in Bury, Lancashire, where her family later moved to. She graduated from Newcastle University in 2001 with a degree in politics and obtained a master's degree in public policy from the University of London.
