Locus of Control and Academic Achievement in Online Education

Since language education online is recent especially in Iran, investigating different aspects of this channel of education is necessary. In this study by using especial measurement scales and in the light of available literature it was tried to add some insight to the studies done in the area of online language education within which there is a dearth of investigation and information especially in Iranian context. The findings of the study could shed light on predictors of success of online language learners and results of the study would give its educators, administrators and learners a better insight towards finding strategies for designing and coordinating online language learning program and improving e-learning courses.
