Management Attributes of Sheep Farmers Performance - IN -ATP DT AP IND

India has witnessed rapid strides in the overall livestock development since independence. The launching of Rural Development Programmes particularly in Animal Husbandry Programmes devoted especially to the Weaker Section of the Rural community has given further fillip. Also with the advent of commercial sat ion and growing increase of population the demand for livestock products have further catapulted. The above factors have rapidly made traditional backyard livestock farming to a more commercial and profitable livestock enterprise. Among the livestock farming, sheep farming is considered as the most traditional occupation carried only by the small farmers/ but with the change of times due to more commercialization the demand has increased for sheep by-products by the consumers as a consequence, of this the sheep farmers are turning to more commercial oriented and seeking newer technologies, availing the services and supplies from the input agencies, and also applying the management tools to run the enterprise in more commercial and profitable venture.Keeping in view of the importance of sheep farming as a commercial venture where a sheep farmer has to play an important role .
