Maoism: A World to Win is an in-depth study of the Maoist movement in Nepal. It briefly covers events leading up to the formation of the CPN(Maoist)and the launch of the Maoist Insurgency, giving a detailed account of the causes and events of the Maoist movement, including political events as well as the socio-economic situation which enabled the Maoists to gain such traction in Nepal politically. The main section investigates and assesses the political, socio-economic events ass they unfolded during the Maoist insurgency from 119-2006, and crucially details and analyses the military campaign as it unfolded, as well as state, and the monarchy's counter measures. The last part of the book details the on=going political manoeuvring of the Maoists in the form of the now UCPN(Maoist) as it strives to obtain the completion of its political agenda, from the signing of the CPA, the 2008 CA Elections, Prachanda as PM, the Maoist's Agitation Campaign, through to the UCPN(Maoist)s again forming a government headed by their PM Bhattarai; with the book finishing by exploring the future prospects of the Maoists in Nepal, and of Nepal itself.
