This book is written in response to the global concern to achieve quality education. it identifies the continuous professional development of teachers (CPD) as the best strategy for education improvement. However, this book draws special attention to teacher mentoring, a type of teacher CPD which is regarded by researchers as the foundation for teaching, because it contributes to teacher's pedagogical understanding and grasp of a repertoire of teaching strategies, which equips less experienced teachers (mentees) with the capability to teach effectively.
