The main objective of the text is to project the role of power converters in wind energy power conversion system. Currently, Renewable energy captures the most prominent place in energy harvesting. Wind power capacity was 34,046 MW as of 31 March 2018, making India the fourth-largest wind power producer in the world. Efficient methods have to be implemented to harvest the available renewable energy sources. Along with the appropriate control techniques, power converters can be operated to extract the maximum energy.

Mrs. S. Sivaranjani received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam in 2001 and M.E., Power Electronics and Drives from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam in 2006. She is currently working for Ph.D. degree in the area of Power Electronics and Drives.
