Moderators & Mediators in Adolescent witnessing Parental Conflict

The change in society setup and its basic premise i.e. a family, where due to their professional and personal demands the inter-spousal conflict was on an increase. The child being an immediate and a direct witness to it needed attention. Thus the research work was done with an attempt to cater to the need of the adolescents, Where an attempt was made to study factors which would help these at risk children survive optimally especially in a case where altering the stressful situation at home was not possible. Results revealed that EQ programs, having a good social support network and cognitive alteration through counseling strategies were important protective factors.
