Details
The novel talks about the ancient history of Libya from the late Ottoman era and the beginning of the Italian occupation until the year of independence 1951 AD, based on the memory of the grandmothers, where the writer summoned the slave trade and the import of slaves and black-skinned people from North Africa to work as servants in the homes of Libyan masters of white skin and using the most severe methods of torture in their treatment Especially the woman who was bought and sold as an animal, as the writer used the socially forbidden relationship between Mr. Muhammad bin Shatwan and the maid as compensation as an external framework for treating the issues of the oppressed and the marginalized, especially the issue of women's liberation and talking about the unspoken.
