This book is a product of conversations on the politics of places and peoples. The consequences of the intervention of international tourism in Mount Everest region have been explored from political ecology perspectives. Authors have a critical analysis on the changes in the equation of power relationships of the stakeholders of tourism at local and global levels. The consequences of changes in the natural environment and social relationships in the name of development are subjected to interpretation through multiple perspectives. The overall message of the book is based on the rhetoric of ecological modernization theory (EMT). This work is a outcome of Critical Realism in Dialectical Phenomenology of the tourism interventions and their consequences.
