Process simulation of thermosetting composites
Details
Higher, further, faster! These three adjectives perfectly describe the demands placed on scientists developing technical products in recent decades. In order to meet these requirements, there is an increasing need for computer-aided pre-development and the use of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as lightweight construction with fibre composite components. This interaction between pre-development and manufacturing is the central theme of this book. It deals with the process chain of a fibre-reinforced, thermosetting composite component, starting with the determination of the most important process parameters in the first section, through simulation and infusion, to the finished end product. It also includes a detailed comparison of the simulation results with real-life tests. Dear readers, this book gives you an overview of what the development process chain of the future could look like.
