Reconciliation of Barundi
Details
The current Burundian society does not display the ethnic problem, but it remains the sensitive cord on which some people pull to access or maintain their interests. Ethnicity in Burundi did not begin with colonization, which was based on an already existing discriminatory clan system. In fact, certain social categories such as the Twa ethnic group and the Hima clan were discriminated against. During the post-colonial period, the Hima clan overthrew the monarchy and in turn applied discrimination for 40 years, which led to fratricidal massacres. Where do we stand? What are the solutions for a true reconciliation and for the construction of a true Burundian nation?
Autorentext
My name is Ntamatungiro Fabrice, I was born in the heart of Africa, in Burundi, on Wednesday May 13, 1987. I grew up in a context of politico-ethnic war that shook our country since the years of independence. This led me to think a lot about politics and justice, which largely influenced the choice of the theme of my book.
