As it happens in life, a high of emotions followed by confusion and despair, when I realized for the first time that this love was simply not reciprocated to the extent that I shared it!

Half a life and half a century. A lot of experiences, a lot of history in this short time. Growing up in the former eastern part of the city of Berlin and still emigrated before the fall of the Wall. Having built a new life and although often difficult and painful, always searching for ones self. Knowing from a young age that you are different and that, despite all your efforts, you never really fit in. Which leads you on a lonely life path of self-knowledge and ultimately to this intermediate goal of life's journey. If a picture is worth a thousand words then a poem speaks volumes. So much that can be found in a single sentence, even in a single word. And it always amazes me how much emotion can be expressed through a poem, if you open your heart.
