This book explores the potential contribution that
community-based research can make within social and
economic regeneration programmes. The book
demonstrates that community based research is an
important part of regeneration in a number of ways.

of community based research within an existing
policy context that promotes participation,
engagement and empowerment. This volume is an
exploration of community based research and
evaluation within the existing literature drawn from
health, social welfare and evaluation fields.
Secondly the book explores the regeneration context
of Objective 1, South Yorkshire, discussing the
community based research applied there to
demonstrate the policy implications of using such
approaches as part of regeneration initiatives.

Autorentext

Louise (BA Hons, MA, PHD and PCHE)is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University. She is a Sociologist with research interests in community development, social capital and social inclusion. This book is the result of a PhD completed at the University of Sheffield, in partnership with Objective 1 South Yorkshire.
