Rural Women Mobilisation in the Empowerment Process:

This book focuses on two aspects: first, the subject matter of the study, and second, the methodological premise that it uses. In the subject matter, it tries to bring forth both the demand side and supply side of the development schemes, which is set in the broader objective of the success of Self Help Group as an institution, and which tries to meet both ends together. In the methodological perspective it tries to use a very recent understanding on agency and developed version of the capability approach, which will enable us to capture the real empowerment in the indicators that value the destitute.
