The present volume contains a selection of papers presented at the Fifth International Symposium Russian Grammar: SystemUsusLanguage Variation (September 22-24, 2021, University of Potsdam, Germany). The selected essays tackle the issues that arise when Russian Grammar meets new linguistic paradigms and new challenges.

Vladislava Warditz is an associate professor of Slavic linguistics at the University of Potsdam. The focal points of her research include transgenerational shifts in heritage languages, the history of post-revolutionary Russian, languages vs. dialects in contact, syntax of causative constructions, onomastics, and historical transfer of linguistic knowledge.
