The condition of parents' marital status plays a great role for the well-being of children.This study examines d/f in academic achievement and psychological adjustment among children as a function of parents' marital status.The main findings of the study include a) statistically significant d/f observed in academic achievement in favor of students from intact families. No substantial d/f were observed b/n children from divorced and remarried families;b)Statistically significant d/c in academic achievement as a function of sex differences were obtained for children from all parents' marital status taken in to account. As a result, boys were found to receive a substantially higher mean achievement score than girls c)With respect to the psychological adjustment of children, tests revealed that significantly higher scores were observed for children from divorced and remarried families.In regard to this,children from divorced and remarried families were significantly worse off than intact families. Therefore, the author of this book would like to suggest that divorce and remarriage may produce their own undesirable problems in children academic performance and psychological adjustment
