This book collects the contributions from the VII edition of the "UPhD Green" Conference, held in Florence, Italy on November 7, 2024, as part of the Urbanpromo event. It includes topics such as sustainable development, urban and territorial planning, urban and architectural design, and policy analysis and evaluation. These topics are crucial as they address the pressing need for sustainable solutions in urban environments, which are increasingly affected by challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and rapid urbanization. The volume provides a transdisciplinary reflection on sustainable development, and bridges the gap between academic research and practical implementation, offering innovative solutions and insights that can inform future policies and projects. It not only highlights the importance of integrating sustainability into urban planning and design, but also offers a comprehensive analysis of current trends and future directions in the field. The book will be of interest to researchers, urban planners, architects, policymakers, and anyone interested in the future of sustainable cities, and serves as a valuable resource for understanding and addressing the complexities of sustainable urban development.
