Marshall Rousseau is the interim executive director for the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, a position he accepted in August 2009. He is perhaps best known for his two-decade role as the Executive Director of the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, from which he retired in July 2002. Rousseau is honored with the status of Executive Director Emeritus and continues to serve as a consultant for the museum store.He is active in many organizations and serves on various boards of directors, including The Salvador Dalí Museum (1984-2004), John and Mable Ringling Museum (2002-present), Tampa Museum of Art (2004-present), Arts Center of St. Petersburg (2004-present), The Florida Orchestra (1981-1991), and the Florida Arts Council (1984-1986).
