The Arithmetic Stress and Smokers

This book is all about the stress and the smoking. How smoking alters the reaction of our physiological systems to the stress? It also induces the risks of various diseases such as heart attack, cerebrovascular accidents (stroke), endocrine disorders etc., due to the altered stress response. During the study smokers were observed to be more responsive to the stress via increased level of salivary cortisol and increase in heart rate and blood pressure.

Dr Jagdish was born in Gujarat, India. He completed his under graduation in the Homoeopathic medicine at Bhavanagar University, India and graduated with distinction in MSc Biotechnology at University of East London, London, UK. The project was supervised by Dr Mohammed Meah.
