The adorable new story starring Gertie, The Littlest Yak!

This fantastic, heartwarming follow‑up to the internationally bestselling, award‑winning The Littlest Yak and The Littlest Yak: The New Arrival takes Gertie and her family to pastures new. “But a home,” Mummy smiled, “is about so much more than the books on the shelf or the toys on the floor.” When the ice starts melting, it’s time for the yaks to move on and find a new mountain. Gertie’s mum tells her that home is about more than the things that you pack, but Gertie’s not so sure. She tries to squash and squeeze everything they own onto her sledge. But, oh no! It seems she’s left behind the most important thing of all . . . her baby sister, Dotty! Perhaps home isn’t about the things you have after all. Also by Lu Fraser & Kate Hindley: The Littlest Yak WINNER of Oscar''s Book Prize 2021 WINNER of the Sainsburys Book Award 2021 The Littlest Yak: The New Arrival By Lu Fraser, illustrated by Sarah Warburton: One Camel Called Doug

Autorentext
Lu Fraser is a hugely exciting voice in children's picture books. She is based in Hampshire, where she lives with her husband and daughter, and writes in a shed in the garden. The Littlest Yak, illustrated by Kate Hindley, was her first book for children and went on to secure multiple foreign editions and to win the Oscar's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award. It was followed by two further adventures for Gertie: The Littlest Yak: The New Arrival and The Littlest Yak: Home is Where the Herd Is. Lu is also the author of One Camel Called Doug, Mavis the Bravest and Basil Dreams Big, all illustrated by Sarah Warburton. Kate Hindley is the much-loved illustrator of both picture books (including the award-winning You Must Bring a Hat, written by Simon Philip) and fiction (The Royal Rabbits of London, written by Santa Montefiore & Simon Sebag Montefiore), as well as the author-illustrator of new board book series, Treacle Street. She lives in Bristol.
