The Origin of Law

The purpose of this work is to offer a critical and panoramic view of the origin and evolution of Western law, enabling a better understanding of legal epistemology and the constitutive bases of modern legal systems. It is hoped that the content of the chapters presented below will contribute to the updating of the knowledge of the constitutive elements of the General Theory of Modern Law, thus facilitating a better understanding and study of this important university discipline.
