This book is deliberate give details on the effect of rural-urban migration to the rapid urban population growth. The study investigated the increase of some of the urban problems due to rapid population growth in urban areas. The book gives light to the Policy makers, urban planners, and administrators on the influence of rural-urban migration to the rapid urban population growth resulted to the increase in urban problems. It also intends to be used by researchers and other scientist for further study.

Josephine Lawi is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Geography section, at Teofilo Kisanji University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Sociology with (Hons) degree and a Master of Arts in Demography from the University of Dar es Salaam.She is also a PhD student of University of Dar es Salaam.
