The Twenty-first Century U.S. Multicultural Secondary Education

Nation-states throughout the world face the problem of how to deal with the racial, ethnic, cultural and religious diversity within their societies while maintaining national unity. The book examines the problems and perspectives of U.S. multicultural secondary education in terms of reflecting diversity and unity. The following problems such as secondary school reforms carried out in the last century, school curriculum change, management styles, teaching methods in multicultural classes, teacher training, community involvement, and others are critically addressed in this work.
