Seit 2008 Lehrbeauftragter an der FH Gießen-Friedberg. 1997 Habilitation und Ernennung zum Privatdozenten. Mitkoordinator des Forschungsschwerpunktes Regeneration, Implantate und Medizintechnik der TU Hamburg-Harburg und Sprecher der Forschungsgruppe Tissue Engineering.
