Tokenizing Real Estate

The real estate industry is known for being a very illiquid market, with long transaction periods and high transaction costs. Blockchain is a promising new technology, that according to experts is going to revolutionize the manner in which we structure transactions from now on. This paper presents a possible new market, where buildings are divided into shares and traded on an exchange, like shares of companies in the stock market. Thanks to the Blockchain technology, the use of tokens and smart contracts could make the real estate market more efficient.
