TRADE-OFF BETWEEN EFFICIENCY AND EQUITY OF PUBLIC POLICY

The objective of this paper is to analyze the trade-off between efficiency and equity in public policy in the case of Benin. The aim is, on the one hand, to identify the area of residence (urban or rural) in which public policies contribute more to the reduction of social inequalities and, on the other hand, to assess the sensitivity of social welfare in relation to expenditures between areas of residence.
