Diversity has been recognized as a criticalpredictor of employee behaviors and outcomes in theU.S. Due to the perceived homogeneity of itspopulation, these concepts are relatively new withinKorean culture and the effects of diversitycharacteristics on organizational behavior have notpreviously been examined in the Korean workforce.Using both quantitative and qualitative study, thisbook verified that diversity characteristics had asignificant effect on employees' perceptions andbehaviors. Therefore, this book, demonstrates thateven in a visibly homogenous society, diversityexists and it had a direct effect on employees'perceptions and behaviors. This findings reflect thestrong impact of the cultural imperative on people'sperceptions and behaviors. Thus, diversityshould be understood within a cultural context, asdiversity is defined by the people who live in thatsociety. This book should be valuable and useful toprofessionals in human resource management inmultinational corporations and to anyone interestedin diversity and multicultural issues in this worldof globalization.
