The Study is set with the challenges of a globalized world - a flat world - an opportunity for development of all nations. In a globalize context, the Philippines need to run fast , appreciate its strength and potentials for an intentional and planned development. The province of Southern Leyte like any Philippine provinces has its best potentials and resource to propel change and development. The College of Maasin-Community and Extension Development Program (CoM-CEDP) is community base development program initiated by an educational institution committed to total human development towards quality life. The primary purpose of the study is to open a new dimension of community development planning as a process for community transformation.

My life story begins with the "pain of my mother...and the joy of the family" as shared by my father in a heart touching memoirs of my birth. I am named "Zuriel" from the biblical account of Numbers 3:35 which mean "My Rock is God".
