The study entitled "Women's Role in Dry Chilli Post-Harvest Activities In India" was undertaken in the year 2019-2020 in Haveri district of Karnataka and Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh with a sample of 120 women labourers. The results showed that, majority of the respondents belonged to middle age (36-50) with low level of education, medium family size, without land. Income was medium. Less than half of them belonged to backward castes. They had low mass media participation and medium social participation. Extension contact was also low. They never participated in any training programmes. The overall knowledge index about post-harvest activities of dry chilli was 55.74 in Byadgi and 59.68 in Guntur APMCs respectively. Similarly for field level labourers it was 63.48 in Haveri and 63.61 in Guntur districts respectively. The overall participation index was 28.85 for women, 44.16 for men and 14.06 and for both men and women in Byadgi APMC. Similarly in Guntur APMC it was and 31.76 for women, 42.18 for men and 13.76 for both men and women. Regarding field level women labourers, the participation indices were 26.09, 30.22 and 23.68 for Haveri, 26.85, 31.36 and 21.87 for Guntur.

Bojjagani Jhansi has completed her graduation from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University in 2018. Thereafter, she got JRF from ICAR and done her M.Sc from University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad, Karnataka. She has secured state first rank in both M.Sc and Ph.D entrance conducted by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka State respectively.
