Published by the Institute for Ecclesiastical Law and Rhenish Church History at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne, the collection Rulings in Ecclesiastical Matters Since 1946 covers the judicature of state courts on general matters of religious law and the relationship between church and state. The collection is the only one of its kind in the German-speaking world. It also constitutes a document of contemporary history.
