4-Acetyl-N,N-dialkylbenzenesulfonamides in Heterocyclic Synthesis

4-Acetyl-N,N-dialkylbenzenesulfonamides are important and versatile reagents. The main objective of the present book is to provides an overview in the synthesis of 4-acetyl-N,N-dialkylbenzenesulfonamides and used it's as a starting material to synthesized of polyfunctionalized three-, five- and six-membered rings and condensed heterocyclic compounds containing a sulphonamide moiety and to highlight their potential in evolving better chemotherapeutic agents.

Mahmoud Sayed Bashandy was born in March 1979 in Cairo, Egypt. He received his BS degree in 2000, MSc (2003), PhD (2006) in Organic Chemistry from Chem. Dep. of Al-Azhar Univ., Egypt. In 2011 he became Assistant Prof. at Al-Azhar Univ. Since 2013 until now, he is working as Associate prof. at Univ. College in Al-Jamoum, Umm Al-Qura Univ. Makkah.
