Massive growth in the construction sector generated a lot of work in the infrastructural, residential, and commercial sectors, and as projects get more complicated and resources become scarce, more sophisticated systems for construction management and planning are required. In response to this demand, this book introduces a novel approach to scheduling that hinges on visual methods, integrating a 4D modeling framework. In the realm of 4D modeling, a plethora of software solutions are available, each contributing to the development of comprehensive models. One such software, Navisworks Manage, serves as an exemplary candidate in this landscape. It offers an array of application tools that facilitate the presentation of construction progress through project viewing, review, simulation, analysis, and coordination. Our methodology involved crafting a 4D model by synergizing the capabilities of Navisworks Manage, Google Sketch-Up, and MS Office Project. In summation, the 4D model materializes as an invaluable support, validation, and communication tool, surpassing conventional planning approaches.
