This is a discography article of American pop rock duo 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ from 2005 to 2009) whose 2005 debut album Into the Rush which was certified Gold in the United States on March 20, 2006 by the RIAA for selling over 500,000 copies. Into the Rush sold over 808,000 in the United States by December 2007 and later sold over one million copies worldwide. Subsequently they contributed to various film soundtracks and compilation albums. Their second studio album Insomniatic debuted at number fifteen in the United States, selling over 39,000 copies in its first week on the Billboard 200; this is their highest debut to date. Their second album''s lead single "Potential Breakup Song" is their most successful single to date, it was first certified certified Platinum for sales over 1,000,000. "Potential Breakup Song" also topped the ten twenty of numerous countries such as the United Kingdom, United States and Ireland. The duo are working on their third studio album. The release date is unknown at this time.
