A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE SERVICE DELIVERY PERFORMANCE IN ETHIOPIA

The private sector is more efficient than the government sector in rendering services. The tax payers who teach their children in government primary schools want to get services equivalent to the one which is rendered in the private schools. The government schools are less efficient in teaching- learning process and are expected to maximize their efforts to produce competitive services to the service seekers. All government officials, employees, teachers, administrative workers and private school owners have to do in the improvement of their services to their customers with all scarce resources that they have. The book compares the services given in private and government primary schools that are established based on the same guidelines. It recommends government primary schools to work harder than before and to make service improvement as their day to day motto for the private primary schools.
