A Contemporary Review of Cameroon Economy from Late 1960's to Present

A contemporary review of Cameroon Economy from 1960's to present analyzes and presents research on the current economic situation and the long-range planning strategies meant to revive the Cameroon economy. From Institutional set ups with which economic activities are taking place for the purpose of economic growth and development; sectorial analysis, the decision making structure and current development trends, from five year development plan to non-existence and today's much talked about Vision 2035 and the country having an extended hand from international communities, with the introduction of Structural Adjustments plans (SAPS) and poverty reduction strategy paper( PRSP), it was thought the country will be moving towards achieving much needed economic growth and development, but the unrealistic theories and applications and the high rate of embezzlement and corruption's hindered the country structure. The author challenges many economic and management assumptions. The studies extensively review periods of development in the qualitative research technique and historical method or procedure.
