A Doctoral Thesis Examining Change in a HEI in Ireland

This is a Doctoral thesis undertaken by an experienced academic in the Engineering Faculty of a Higher Education Institute in Ireland. It examines the demand for universities to change in response to a fast changing external environment. The research explores how stakeholders are responding to the demands for change and how a bureaucratic organisation is attempting to become more responsive and innovative.

Dr Kelly''s research interests are in Management of Change, Lighting and Low Energy Building Design. He has published and presented his peer reviewed research in the USA, Norway, Finland, Hungary, Turkey and Dublin at international conferences in recent years. This book is his original doctoral thesis completed in 2009.
